![]() Website Contact: fakeminmae@hotmail.com All of Minmae's songs are facing west, toward the land of the dead. Not because the band has a fascination with the afterlife but because, when the excavators pry open the tombs and hear the disparate sounds of this prolific band/concept, they will know that there was at least some pattern, some meaning to it all. Today four brains have been consumed by the parasites of life. Sean Brooks, Ian Watts, Andy Price, and Rob Lemizis are all infected with the sound of existentialism, the sound of ideas. Since the band's inception, ideas have been a central focus of its operating structure. And though Minmae originally sought "to never be a band at all", the imitator of art--life--has once again had the last laugh. Yes, the last laugh is on Minmae, because the band is in love with the act, the band cares very much about its art. In fact, the band is nothing and nowhere without the sound it creates, and wishes to be nowhere the physics of sound cannot reach. Dear reader, please do not take this as heady or long winded. It's just sound, and we come to you with that and nothing else. Except ideas. Enjoy. And watch your back. ![]() MP3s: Let My Friends In from 835 I was at Johnny's, and he played Phil Ochs Everyone Knows Jesus Wore a Chain from Le grand essor de la maison du monstre Smiling With Teeth.
