Long time fore-runners of the hardcore/emo scene, Still Life are a Los Angeles based 3-piece that have been putting out records for over ten years. Often referred to as one of the most influential emo bands ever, their chaotic yet poetic style of music is both aggressive and at the same time serene, harkening back to the hey-day of melodic hardcore (when it was still actually hardcore).

The Sunflower Tribe, the band's own label, contains bios, more mp3s, various releases from the Sunflower Tribe label, and some nifty rants from SL bass player Dave Pitzel.

Limitations, Boundaries, and Failures, the long-awaited 5-song EP, was released in August of 2002 and is Still Life's first release on the Greyday label. It is five songs that span their career, from their roots as The Monster Club in the late eighties to a song written about two months ago.

Their new album, entitled The Incredible Sinking Feeling, is the first full-length release from the band since 1998's Madness and the Gackle. Over four years in the making, this long awaited album will be available from Greyday on vinyl and cd this summer.
